Are you ready to revolutionize the gaming industry with your expertise in game design? We're currently seeking a Senior Game Designer to join our team.

As a Senior Game Designer, you will play a key role in bringing the iconic and terrifying world of Dead by Daylight to life. As a Senior Game Designer, you will help shape how the content created by the community is designed, experienced, and evolves within the game. You will help define the framework and experience around them, curate and evaluate different modes, and ensure they provide meaningful and engaging experiences for players. You will also contribute hands-on to prototyping and help elevate other designers by sharing your knowledge and approach to prototyping.

• Design the UGC ecosystem to provide meaningful, engaging, and sustainable player experiences.
• Work hands-on with the engine (Unreal) and prototyping tools to explore and validate ideas, leveraging Unreal Engine, scripting, or modding experience to understand technical possibilities and constraints.
• Design and work across game modes, cosmetics, creator tools, mode editors, and other features while considering how they will be maintained and supported over time.
• Define and communicate the vision for the UGC and modding experience, translating creative goals into clear player and creator flows, systems, documentation, and design requirements.
• Translate creative needs into actionable requirements and helping find solutions that balance player experience, scope, and technical feasibility.
• Leverage UGC tools to mentor other designers, encouraging hands-on experimentation and prototyping while sharing best practices.

• 6+ years of experience in video game, including 4+ years in a game design role.
• Multidisciplinary background across systems, gameplay, modes, or player-facing features.
• Experience with modding and user-generated content or with Unreal Engine scripting (blueprint).
• Experience or interest in designing game modes and systems.
• Experience in prototyping and hands-on experience with tools and/or engines.
• Ability clearly communicates design ideas and vision.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal in French and/or in English, and collaboration skills.

A plus

• Experience in technical design.
• Experience in content curation.

DANS CE RÔLE, TU DEVRAS

• Concevoir l’écosystème UGC afin d’offrir des expériences significatives, engageantes et durables aux joueurs;
• Travailler directement avec le moteur de jeu (Unreal) et les outils de prototypage pour explorer et valider des idées, en tirant parti de ton expérience avec Unreal, le scripting ou le modding afin de bien comprendre les possibilités et les contraintes techniques;
• Concevoir et travailler sur différents modes de jeu, cosmétiques, outils de création, éditeurs de modes et autres fonctionnalités, tout en tenant compte de leur maintenance et de leur évolution à long terme;
• Définir et communiquer la vision de l’expérience UGC et de modding, en traduisant les objectifs créatifs en parcours clairs pour les joueurs et les créateurs, ainsi qu’en systèmes, documentation et exigences de conception;
• Traduire les besoins créatifs en exigences concrètes et contribuer à trouver des solutions qui équilibrent l’expérience joueur, la portée du projet et la faisabilité technique;
• Utiliser les outils UGC pour accompagner et mentorer les autres designers, en encourageant l’expérimentation et le prototypage pratiques tout en partageant les meilleures pratiques.

CE QUE NOUS RECHERCHONS

• Plus de 6 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie du jeu vidéo, dont au moins 4 ans dans un rôle en conception de jeux;
• Parcours multidisciplinaire couvrant les systèmes, le gameplay, les modes de jeu ou les fonctionnalités destinées aux joueurs;
• Expérience avec le modding et le contenu généré par les utilisateurs (UGC), ou avec le scripting dans Unreal Engine (Blueprints);
• Expérience ou intérêt marqué pour la conception de modes de jeu et de systèmes;
• Expérience en prototypage et approche pratique des outils et/ou des moteurs de jeu;
• Capacité à communiquer clairement des idées et une vision de conception;
• Excellentes aptitudes de collaboration et communication, tant à l’écrit qu’à l’oral, en français et/ou en anglais.

Un plus

• Expérience en conception technique;
• Expérience en curation et en sélection de contenu.
